Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated August 22, 2026
In plain language, following the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and affiliate relationships: some of the links on DTC Perks are affiliate links. If you sign up with a vendor through one of those links, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you. Here’s exactly what that means and doesn’t mean.
What an affiliate link is
When a vendor runs a public affiliate or referral program, they pay a small commission to sites like ours for sending them a new customer — the same way a vendor might pay for an ad, except we only get paid if you actually sign up. The price you pay the vendor is set by the vendor and is the same whether you come through our link or go to their site directly — an affiliate link never marks up the price you pay.
What it does not affect
- Which deals we list. Every deal on this site is added because its terms are real, verified against the vendor’s own site, and useful to a DTC brand — not because it pays a commission. Most of our listed deals have no affiliate relationship with us at all.
- How we describe a deal’s terms. We quote every deal’s terms verbatim from the vendor’s own page and label our confidence in that verification (verified, reported, or negotiate) the same way regardless of whether an affiliate relationship exists.
- Ranking or placement. We don’t sort or feature a deal higher because it pays us more; placement reflects relevance to your business stage and the strength of the offer itself.
- Your price. As above — you pay the vendor’s standard, published rate. We are never paid by charging you more than the vendor already charges.
The ways DTC Perks makes money
- Affiliate/referral commissions — from vendors that run a public affiliate program, when you sign up through our link (described above).
- Premium and Lifetime membership — a direct subscription or one-time payment from members who want access to our full catalogue, described on our Premium page and governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
How to know which links are affiliate links
As our catalogue and click-tracking infrastructure mature, we intend to label individual deal pages that carry an active affiliate relationship. Until that labeling is fully rolled out across every deal page, treat this page itself as the governing disclosure: assume any outbound link to a vendor may be an affiliate link, on the same no-cost-to-you, no-effect-on-listing terms described above. We’ll update this page the moment per-deal labeling goes live rather than leave this paragraph stale.
Why we disclose this at all
The FTC requires clear disclosure of material financial relationships that could affect how a reasonable person interprets a recommendation. We’d disclose this even if it weren’t required: the entire premise of DTC Perks is that our deal verification is trustworthy specifically because it isn’t for sale. Being upfront about where our revenue comes from is part of proving that, not a liability to bury in fine print.
